    The fact that microwaves take very short time to warm or cook food, the energy they consume is far less than in conventional ovens. Therefore, apart from saving you time, microwaves also save you money!
  • No need for oil
    Today, many people have health issues because of cholesterol. They are advised to consume less oily foods. Microwaves come in handy for them as you don’t need oil to heat or cook your food unlike in conventional ovens.
  • Healthier food
    Microwaves take a relatively short time to cook food. Most essential nutrients such as vitamins remain as the food is not overcooked. Foods prepared using microwaves are healthier as compared to other conventional ovens.

Negative Features

  • Limited quantities
    Microwaves are very convenient for preparing meals for one person. For a big family, kindly don’t think about a microwave as it won’t be of any help. If you choose to stick to your microwave, then brace yourself to spend a lot of time and use huge amounts of electricity.
  • You can’t use any other plate
    Be sure to choose the right plate when cooking your food using a microwave. For instance, you cannot use a glass plate as it will overheat and you won’t be able to remove it unless you wait for it to cool. There are microwave safe plates that are recommended for use.
  • No browning effect
    When cooking your food, just forget about the browning effect. Your sausages will not appear exactly the way they appear when using a conventional oven. However, this doesn’t mean that they will taste bad.
